To explain why reality exists
For centuries, scientific and philosophical inquiries into the origin of the Universe have encountered a seemingly insurmountable paradox: the emergence of matter from a state of absence. Void would appear to be the natural state of reality, while the presence of entities and structures seems to lack any intrinsic justification. This drives the search for an external cause, which in turn demands a further cause, dragging the explanation into an infinite regress.
The void (R = space × time ≠ 0) represents an unlimited spacetime continuum devoid of matter and energy. This "flat" and inert configuration cannot exist spontaneously, as the continuity of spacetime itself would require a physical cause or an autonomous logical-mathematical justification.
Nothingness (R = space × time × deformations = 0) is the absolute absence of any physical entity and serves as the true ontological starting point. Governed by the principle of conservation of nothingness, it is not restricted to static non-existence: it can express itself through deformed spacetime configurations, provided that the net balance of these deformations remains algebraically zero.
Mass, energy, and fundamental interactions are nothing more than local deformations of spacetime whose net total sum is algebraically equal to zero. Physical reality exists precisely because it is composed of concrete elements of opposite signs that cancel each other out across the global metric.
Because an infinite number of zero-sum configurations are mathematically possible, an algebraic energy equation alone cannot explain why this specific universe exists.
While spacetime deformations provide the "bricks" of physical reality, the properties of a single brick do not dictate the design of the cathedral. The order, structure, and selection of this specific configuration emerge in a non-physical dimension: the dimension of meaning.
The Universe is not a random aggregate of matter, but the expression of a Word. As such, it is composed of a signifier and a signified (meaning).
The signifier is the spacetime physical reality (R = 0).
The signified is the structural dimension that defines its selection and actual existence.
